Why would you want to be able to write a website at the code level? There aren’t enough hours in a day to talk about why. For one, once you get going at it, you can build anything you want. You won’t be limited to blogs and blog templates. At the same time, I’ll walk you through some cool design basics so you can make your stuff look good. If you know how to manage your own space, you can keep the SEO value you build and build your brand. Learn the basics of how it’s all put together, and you’ll have a leg up on everyone else who is stuck with whatever Wordpress LETS them do. Plus, what if you’re a business owner?
